Eglish is a small village in County Tyrone located approximately 6km southwest of Dungannon. The village has grown in a dispersed form, and has a mix of housing, industry and services. It is a land of drumlins, small fertile fields, rivers, woodlands and lakes. Significant historical events have taken place in Eglish down through the years. Its sacred sites have a history older than Christianity. They have rested humbly, undisturbed and unobtrusive in unexpected places over centuries.
